Domain Registration Agreement Last Updated: May 28, 2026
This Domain Registration Agreement governs the registration and management of domain names through VelocityTier. By registering a domain name with us, you agree to be bound by this agreement, our Terms of Service, and the policies of the relevant domain registry and registrar.
1. Registration Obligations
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during domain registration, including your full name, email address, phone number, and billing details. You are responsible for keeping this information up to date at all times. Failure to provide accurate information may result in suspension or cancellation of the domain.
2. Domain Ownership
Upon successful registration, you become the legal registrant (owner) of the domain name, subject to your compliance with this agreement, ICANN rules, and applicable laws. Ownership is granted for the registered term only.
3. Renewals and Transfers
- You are solely responsible for renewing your domain before it expires.
- Failure to renew may result in the domain becoming unavailable or being deleted.
- Domain transfers to another registrar are subject to the rules and fees of the current registrar and must be completed while the domain is active and not in a locked or expired state.
4. WHOIS Information
As required by ICANN and domain registries, your WHOIS information (name, email, address, etc.) will be publicly available in the domain registry database. You may opt for privacy protection services where available, but certain information may still need to be disclosed for legal or administrative purposes.
5. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes regarding domain ownership, registration, or usage will be handled according to the dispute resolution policies of the relevant registry (e.g., UDRP for .com domains). You agree to submit to these procedures and cooperate fully in any domain dispute.
6. Prohibited Activities
You may not register or use domain names for:
- Illegal activities
- Phishing, spam, or fraud
- Trademark infringement or cybersquatting
- Any purpose that violates our Acceptable Use Policy
7. Termination and Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your domain registration if you violate this agreement, our Terms of Service, or applicable laws. Upon termination, you may lose all rights to the domain.
8. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Domain Registration Agreement from time to time. Continued use of our domain registration services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated agreement.
9. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States.
